Ted McCready

Ted McCready is a native St. Louisan who has performed and recorded music throughout the world since the age of eighteen. His musical passion and drive comes from his father Francis McCready, (Music Educator and band director at Lindbergh High School). His father introduced Ted at the early age of 5 to the piano and various other instruments.

Ted McCready was discovered in the 80's by a record producer and promoter Riley Grandell. That's when he moved to Dallas Tx. From there he started his recording and touring career.

In 1989 Ted appeared on the television show "Star Search" and was picked up by the producer of show, Sam Riddle. He recorded and was mentored by Sam Riddle for several years.

Ted has recorded and performed with many well known musicians from the George Michael Band, to members of Santana, as well as Denise Williams' band. He recorded his first album "The Stimulus Is," under the engineering and direction of Jerry Abbott, father of Pantera's guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott. The album was mastered at Capital Records by "The Great" Wally Traugott who has mastered records from Michael McDonald to Aretha Franklin.

Ted McCready since then has been performing, producing, directing and recording locally in the St.Louis surrounding area with some of the areas top known artists.

Currently Ted is working with Talent Plus Agency and performing locally as well as nationally.
