Angela Giancola

Angela Giancola was born deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in the other. Before she heard her own voice in her early 20’s, Angela learned Sign language using SEE (Sign Exact English) and then later learned American Sign Language (ASL) to develop her speech. This opened doors for Angela to pursue her passions such as dancing through vibrations, modeling with elegance, acting with expressive depth, and traveling.

In 2009, she returned home to St. Louis and immersed herself in the world of hospitality and entrepreneurship, co-owning multiple restaurants and retail ventures alongside her business and life partner.

Now in 2025, Angela is channeling her experience and creativity into expanding accessibility through SEE & ASL in media, entertainment, theatre, and the performing arts. Her mission is to make communication inclusive for all and to perform SEE & ASL in spaces where Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities feel a sense of belonging.
