Mike Bush is a celebrated journalist and beloved fixture in St. Louis broadcasting, marking his 40th anniversary with 5 On Your Side in 2025. As anchor of the station’s 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts alongside Kelly Jackson, and the 6 p.m. with Anne Allred, Mike continues to bring trusted journalism into homes across the region.

Since joining the station in 1985, Mike has become synonymous with heart-driven storytelling and community impact. For nearly four decades, he has hosted the MDA Show of Strength Telethon, raising millions for those living with neuromuscular diseases. In 2025, he celebrates another milestone—20 years hosting the nationally televised Musial Awards on CBS, honoring extraordinary sportsmanship and character.

Known for spotlighting unsung heroes and everyday difference-makers, Mike has earned an astounding 108 Mid-America Emmy Awards, 34 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, 3 National Murrow Awards, and 3 National Sigma Delta Chi Awards—a testament to his commitment to meaningful journalism.

In recognition of his legacy, Mike was inducted into the St. Louis Media History Hall of Fame in April 2025, and is already a member of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Silver Circle.

Although a Chicago native, Mike proudly calls St. Louis home, dedicating his career to uplifting the people and stories that define the city.
